should andie make a roleplay group? she’s not sure! help her by reading the info below? ;] **and then commenting your opinion. i’ll give out some favs.
i sort of want to make a percy jackson based roleplay group, but, since the books are aimed for a bit of a younger reading audience {i myself did read them fourth grade, but the plot is pretty good.}, it’s hard to get a high fashion one going. plus, i’ve seen way too many ‘camp half-blood..you know what that means! percy is seventeen. join!’ groups to actually be able to make something like that, even if it was a bit more advanced. i want something more..creative?
yeah, i suppose i’m just looking for creativity. high fashion for sure, if you couldn’t catch that already. i’ve got a few ideas spinning in my head, but i don’t know if any are very good..
- The Roman demi-god camp. In that new series The Lost Hero, it mentions there’s one in California. Maybe we could play that one out?
- Way back in the past. Like, before the Western Civilization was based in America. I’m thinking before the Revolutionary War, when England would’ve been its prime. Maybe? We could even go so far back as Greece, or something like France..or Rome..
- Skip forward in the future. Maybe WC is still in America, or maybe..it’s moved on to some new cool country in Antarctica. Or America has turned into a monarchy like that sort of old tv show. Something more creative than just being in the future. x]
- Or, something totally unrelated to a camp. Like, say, we play ordinary girls that fall in love with the gods..you know, the mothers of demi-gods. They somehow all connect, or maybe not, maybe they just know each other. Eh, this idea is a little sketchy, but I think my point is sort of getting across..
but, going away from the percy jackson idea, i'd love to do something very...old-fashioned. i don't want something so cliche as just another high society, battle your way to the top sort of thing, but i don't want it to be just something totally boring either. i love basing my groups off books, and here's a few i've been thinking of.
- a great and terrible beauty // rebel angels // the sweet far thing -- it's set in london, england, and, in the books, a girl from india has just moved because her mother was just murdered. so, this young girl is sent to a boarding school, and it is filled with the traditional range of girls; those rich ones who think they're all that, the girls who love adventures, the quiet artistic ones, the ones there on scholarship, young naive girls who are still figuring themselves out. basically, some girls discover a secret realm they can be transported to where everything can happen. but, there seems to be a shadow in this distant world, and more darkness than light could be lurking in this mysterious world. it's a good book series, and i recommend reading it for sure. but...i wouldn't have it follow the plot, just the idea.
- the clockwork angel -- this book is like a prequel // sequel // companion book to the mortal instruments series, which is what a lot of people have read. basically, it's set in victorian london again, but it focuses on the life of downworlders more than shadowhunters. i don't think i'll be including the plot of the clockwork people though. maybe, if i can't come up with something else, but i don't think so as of right now.
so, i’m hoping to be on enough to actually make something. i’d need a co-mod for sure! and not one that just sits there, claims a character, and makes me do everything. equal effort. x] haha. which idea do you like best? comment please.[;
